The Baseband Circuit Design Of Multimedia GSM Mobile Phone

This article discusses one new GSM multimedia mobile phone baseband solution, which implements Calypso platform of TI combined with multimedia co-processor. This architecture expands multimedia functionality dramatically from the already matured platform which is mainly voice service oriented.The key technology of R&D of multimedia mobile phone is baseband circuit design. This article gives detailed description and discussion on basic principles, general architecture, sub-module design, debugging and problem solution of basedband design of mobile phone. The detailed designs of main digital baseband circuit, analogue baseband circuit, related ESD,EMI circuit are also covered.
