Tsinghua University hosted the first college student competition, the "Freescale" Cup. The participants are required to provide the intelligent vehicle model capacity of the self-road-recognize based on the designed model-car and the micro-controller chip. The winner was the first one finished the race on the right road.Based on this competition, this paper, aims at reducing the development period of the control algorithm, provides the software platform for the off-line test of the race car control algorithm by using LabVIEW.In this dissertation, first, we analyze the working process of the intelligent car, the mathematical model of them are setup. Then we designed a controller of the turning rudder and driving motor using traditional PID algorithm, thus we improve the performance of the intelligence car's turning and velocity control. Second, the simulation software is developed based on the first step. The software consists of four steps: race road creation, car modeling, running simulation and running replay. The road and the car play a fundamental role of running simulation. The running simulation can realize the test function of the algorithm. The replay can be regard as the afterward process of the running data. At the end of the dissertation, the time optimization of the turning process is discussed and three turning strategies are proposed. Comparing with the three turning strategies via simulation, the beforehand outside turn out to be the best in which the race time is reduced and the performance of the intelligent car is improved.
