Industrial process simulation system uses computer simulation and physical simulation technology to simulate the actual engineering process. Through industrial process simulation system, the skilled personnel can receive training to keep on the top of technological process, ensure the production process running smoothly and accidents handling timely. Its development is a system engineering that integrates a number of high technology. The development of the system needs heavy work, long cycle, difficultly technology. The developers not only know the process of installation object and the establishment of mathematical model of control system, but also simulate the actual interface.First of all, this paper analyzes the low-temperature multi-effect distillation desalination theory and process, gives the mathematical model of the major seawater desalination plant (evaporator, condenser, flash tank), establishes the model of control object (liquid level, flow, temperature) by using the mechanism and experimental model-building. Then, based on the graphical programming language LabVIEW, the 4500t/d low-temperature multi-effect distillation desalination DCS simulation training system is designed through using simulation technology. The simulation system not only simulates startup, normal shutdown, emergency shutdown, normal operation process of the low-temperature multi-effect desalination, but also achieves fault setting, PID control parameter setting, parameters alarming, parameters displaying of monitoring points, and communication with three-dimensional scene. The simulation system had been put into use, and made up for the traditional in-service training and classroom teaching methods effectively. It has increased the efficiency of the training greatly.
