With the rapid development of our aerospace, automobile, mould and the other industries, there is a great demand for the complex free surface parts. Considering digital copying processing method is an important means to produce the free-form surface parts. It is becoming an important component of machinery manufacturing, which integrates NC, profiling and digital technologies, and connects CAD/CAM and profile milling. Accurately measure 3D surface technology and processing of data technology are key technologies to digital profile processing. The paper constructed a digital copying control system with open architecture, and then the researches on the key technologies of free form surface tracking measurement with three-dimensional simulation profile probe, sampling, and storage and processing of data etc.are carried out.Firstly, based on the deep analysis of the framework and realization of the open control CNC system, a software-based open digital copying Control System is designed, whose hardware platform is utilizing IPC & industrial interface cards as the kernel configurations. According to the theories of software engineering, the function modules of the system are planned and the software organization configuration is designed. Man-machine interface and the main programs of the system are programmed with VC++6.0.Secondly, the paper analyzes real-time Characteristics of Windows2000 Operating system and developed a high accurate software timer, which is based on high frequency counter technology an the multi-threading technology, and then realizes the real-time control.The theories and algorithm of surface tracking measurement are researched in the paper and a new sampling process algorithm with the equal error is improved on, whose name is equal error precision comparison algorithm. The improved sampling mode of "First Acquisition and Storage and then Compress "can enhance the sampling precision and improve data acquisition efficiency of the system. Embedded database SQlite is used in the system, and the application of double-thread and double-bufferen storage technology is propitious to the storage management of the large number of data, therefore which improve the security of the data and then provide convenience for the latter data processing.Finally, considering the effects of the the model surface's geometric shape on the precision of tracing scan control, extraction and predictive Control technologies of model's surface geometric feature are researched. A self-learning fuzzy controller is designed and realized, which automatically adjusts the tracing scan velocity according to the smoothness of the model surface. On the prerequisite of the control precision, it greatly enhanced the tracing scan efficiency.The digital copying control system has open architecture in the hardware and software, which is designed and constructed in this paper. To meet practical application it can be changed hardware structure, added software function modules, and optimized control algorithms. It offers a test platform to research and develop high-performance digital copying system and digital copying equipments.
