Traditional PDA products just have simple functions, which can not be composed to network in the classroom, unable to meet the need of education at the present time. The PDA terminal designed in this paper solves above problems. All the PDA terminals in the classroom can be composed to a small wireless network, which makes more efficient in teaching and improving student's interest in learning. This PDA terminal based on embedded technology plays an important role in improving the quality of education, makes a practical significance in application.This paper discusses the implementation of the PDA terminal using in wireless network for teaching. It makes the device selection and circuit design for the various modules of the system, gives the system structure diagram. The system adopts two AT89C52 MCU, the main CPU use the system bus to connect the LCD module, NANDFLASH, NORFLASH, Program SRAM, Data SRAM, and use the serial port to connect the wireless communication module. The slave CPU was used to control two PS/2 keyboard interface, voltage detect module, boost module and DC supply module. This paper gives the system software architecture, including hardware drivers layer, the UCOS-II operate system layer, functional modules layer and application software layer. And the software makes a good performance, which enhance the hardware's performance and improve system flexibility and stability. Besides, this paper also focused on three aspects: the embedded file system based on NANDFLASH; multi-language input systems based on PS/2 protocol and Trie-tree data structure; design and implementation of wireless communication module based on nRF2401.The PDA terminal designed in this paper was successful, which can meet the functional requirements, perform stably and reliably. It confirmed that the hardware circuit design and software architecture design are practicable.
