The Press's Practice Of Government Relation

Government Relation is an important exterior relation among the net of press's public relations, Government Relations and Journalism are close together in theory and practice. Now, Government Relations have very important significant and value for the construction of press's management strategy. The current research on the relationship between press and government relations in China is far from sufficient. However, these matters have been always neglected by traditional theory of Public Relations and Journalism, which chronically regard press as the object and channel of Public Relations, never forwardly consider this problem from press's standpoint.This article tries hard to change the above-mentioned state, and discusses the relation of the Government Relations and Journalism from press's standpoint. In this paper, the main part studied is press which is growing in the market environments of today's China. First, it discusses the importance of good government relations to press, and then analyses some points that aiming at government, covering subject, objects, objectives and effects. Afterward, it studies the relation characters between government and press, and then concludes their ways of government relations practice. With press facing with the integrated market, there will be new type of relations between government and corporate.How should press adjust their strategies on government relations accordingly? Here some analyses and predictions are enhance its realistic significance and readability.
