The task comes from the control systems of motor drying processing in the factory. As a major technique in the motor production, the drying processing is the key to the motor's quality and service life.This paper analyses the advantages and disadvantages of PID control and fuzzy control and comes up with the method of combining them together. This method can take the advantages of them and avoid the disadvantages. The fuzzy self-tuning PID control method, which involves fuzzy control rules, is employed to make real-time adjustments to the three parameters K P, K Iand K Dof the PID.First, simulations of PID control, fuzzy control and fuzzy self-tuning PID control concerning their respective control quality and anti-interference ability are done by MATLAB 6.5. The fuzzy self-tuning PID control method is then selected because it can meet the control demands and its anti-interference ability is very strong. Moreover, the simulation results show that its robustness is good, because effective control makes the regulating time short, the overshoot and the steady-error very little for first-order inertia and time-lag model.Accordingly, a two-order TDC is designed to control 3 drying ovens on the base of fuzzy self-tuning PID controlling arithmetic. DDC takes AT89C52 SCM as the principal part and is an intelligent controller that can work on intricate data processing and intricate control function. It is designed not only as a member of TDC working with computer but also as a self-governed SCM control, and shows more flexibility and security. When getting the input orders, SCM works out the control value and gives pulse signal to spring up the circuit, then drives the triode AC to heat the Drying Oven. SCC is empoldered in Windows XP and can watch several DDC.The fuzzy self-tuning PID control this paper brings forward is intelligent and flexible, which has the function of auto-measurement, gathering and dealing with real time data and displaying the control results, etc. The control precision is effectively improved to a higher level.
