The multimedia teaching is the core of modern information technology education. More and more educational technology specialist and scholastic are in favor of and attention to the study of multimedia teaching. From the study of multimedia teaching presently, experts pay main attention not only to the application of multimedia teaching in some courses , design and development of multimedia teaching resource, but also the thin of multimedia teaching, especially the study of many factors of multimedia study effect. In the teaching design of assembly language ,the select of teaching strategy is one of the key factors which affect the effect of this course assembly language. In this context, the positive research is made in the thesis, which is the apply of the multimedia in assembly language, the affect of the learning effect . In this research, there are some references and demonstrational value on improving the quality of assembly language and the effect of assembly language learning.In this research, on the basis of analyzing the teaching design theory and practice on the assembly language course, traditional teaching and multimedia teaching are selected as teaching strategy . According to the comprehension of learning outstanding achievement in educational psychology and instruction theory, the objective levels of remember and understand are selected in order to study the learning effect, which directly relate to learning outstanding achievement. The hypothesis is put forward that the favorable learning effects are much easier to be obtained, when multimedia teaching strategy are used on the objective levels of remembering and understanding.Single-factor and two levels equality-group experiment method is the main study method in the thesis. In the course of assembly language the author chooses one unit as the learning content, which is"cycle program design". According to the rational partition on knowledge points and the theory of teaching design and learning, the author finishes the execution of teaching designing before experiment. According to the aim of subject test and learning objective of instruction content, test-questions are compiled for pretest and posttest in order to measure the learning effects.The research chooses sixty juniors of computer application specialty as testees, and then, succeeds in the experiment for two months. Because the author controls better the research process, after comparing and analysing the data on experiment research, the conclusions followed were proved by experiment: Undergraduate in computer application specialty could make better achievement on the level objective of remembering when the multimedia teaching strategy was used than the traditional teaching, in particular, the presenting of knowledge by multimedia teaching strategy was more straightly remembered. The learning effect of testees on the level objective of understanding was not significant difference between the multimedia teaching strategy and the traditional teaching.
