The entire actualization of the new course standards accelerated the further progress of the quality-oriented education and the popularization of the comprehensive practice course increased the integration of information technology with curriculum. As an important way of integrating information technology with curriculum, MCAI is faced with favorable circumstances and challenge, which have never existed before.The entire actualization of the new course standards accelerated MCAI 's deep-going infiltration into all stages of all subjects, at the same time the present rich and colorful instructional models set an much higher demand on MCAI conversely, and made MCAI pay close attention to more instructional ideas and lead in more instructional ideas. Now as an important cognition theory after constructivism, situated teaching is influencing the present instruction reformation and teaching staff in a silent and effective way, so it caught much interest of the people in CAI.This paper consists five parts including the introduction the summary of situated teaching the use of multimedia for constructing situation, the design and analysis of the experiments and the conclusion.In the introduction, we discuss the background and significance of the study of situated teaching based on multimedia, and the reason why the author has chosen this subject.In the summary of situated teaching, we have made necessary analysis and theoretical research for situated teaching. And this part includes four subparts: the history of situated teaching the discrimination of the related terms > the characteristics of situated teaching models and the three typical models and the "Jasper".Part three includes six subparts: multimedia in education the multimedia used to construct instructional situation the construction of situation by VRT the construction of situation by streaming technology multimedia integration and plural situation.Part four is about the experiments study. It includes two experiments. The first is for the influence of multimedia situation to WEB cursor, and the second is for the influence of multimedia situation to communities of practice.In the conclusion, we make a summary and point out its future development and limitation.
