The Collaborative Management Of The Design Data In Expo And Experience For Large-scale Construction Project

Large-scale urban construction projects begin to spring up and large-scale construction project management problems are concerned widespreadly. The introduction of collaborative management thinking meets requirement of complexity of project management. Information and technology is based on the collaborative management. An excellent project management requires information flow to be smooth, timely, accurate and reliable in the management process.The object of my study is Shanghai Expo in 2010. Meanwhile, my paper can be discussed from two main perspective of technical method and communication of information flow. Expo design data is the basis for the exchange of information in the expo planning projects, and prong the whole process of expo project management.First, through Investigation to the expo project management and the analysis and classification for information flow of expo project. I definite the roles of project management: project managers, heads of departments and decision makers. According to project decomposition method and information collaboration classification, I process in-depth study for Expo project management, remodel design data management of expo and focus on the conflict in the management.Second, regarding the investigation encountered in the design of the expo data management problems, I choose the software-final data management platform-Microstation; and use Microstation as the platform for data management and human-machine interaction. In the course of the study, I found data management system according to the Microstation, through the introduction of the thinking process management and system development theory. Through the software functions of the Microstation regrouped and Practice. I focus on resolving the security, accuracy, timeliness, shared problems of management of EXPO design data. this can test the performance of design data management.Finally, in the attempt of EXPO design data management collaboration, I found some problems encountered in the design data management: data management detached from the building management system, the conflict between Management awareness and Management system, managers' own responsibility and other non-technical reasons. But these problems led to the slowness of expo collaborative design data management progress. From the single studies, I summarized some common factors, such as : management awareness, management model, information technology. This provides a thinking and idea for the large-scale construction project design data management in the future.
