Health Communication, which based on the experience of "Stanford heart disease prevention programs" since 1970, has started to advance a number of projects around the globe. In China, the experience in the prevention of infectious diseases had already begun. But the theme research of health communication is the matter for nearly 10 years.From the perspective of medium effect on our health communication, it takes an analysis on the status and development trend. And initially proposes the view of using mass media in health communication to play effect, then it gives a preliminary study on how to use the mass media promoting health communication deeply develop.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part starts from the concept, after expounding on the meanings of health communication and medium effect, it explicates the relationship between the two conceptions from the breadth, reliability and influence three aspects; The second part tries to introduce the theory basement and practice demands which take care of the Communications infrastructure and the involvement of Sociology, also it takes the recent health incidents as examples to made content analysis for practice demands; The third part is the main of this paper. It attempts to summarize the health communication's practice achievements in China from the print, electronic and digital media three categories, then based on the status, it discovers the problems of health communication by using mass media. In view of these questions, it makes an origin analysis from legal system, market, talented person and cultural four stratifications. Partâ…£measures, which are based on the situation analysis, indicate under the impetus of medium effect, health communication will become more and more professional, and it will make a strong pace to the directions of popular, controllable and cultural.
