The nanosecond risetime of high voltage pulse technology has been already widely used in high voltage isulating test, laser technology, microwave technology and electromagnetic compatibility test. With the development of the pulse power technology, faster front and back pulse edge, higher frequency and higher voltage are becoming hotspots. The voltage and current of single MOSFET or IGBT are limited, and high switch voltage and high switch current can be obtained by using MOSFET or IGBT in series linked mode and parallel linked mode. The high voltage steep risetime pulse generator is based on the IGBT in series linked mode in order to output the high voltage pulse with amplitudeĀ±5kV, pulse risetime 200ns, and repetition frequency 10kHz.Based on technique of power electronics and pulse power, the method to generate the high voltage with the characteristics of repetition frequency and steep pulse is proposed in the thesis. The established method include DC generating circuit with adjustable amplitude high-voltage, high-voltage inveter main-circuit and high-voltage inverter controlled circuit. The DC generating circuit included adjustable voltage circuit, low-voltage inverter circuit, high-frequency step-up transformer and high-frequency rectifying circuit. High-voltage main-circuit inverter adopts half-bridge with several IGBT connection in series and corresponding protective circuit. High-voltage inverter controlled circuit adopts SG3525 to realize PWM ontrolled-mode, and pulse transformer to realize several IGBT synchrodrive and signal isolation.The simulation analysis and the experiment indicate that the output amplitude can be continuously adjusted by the high voltage steep risetime generator, the high voltage inverter controlled signal has a good synchronism. The high voltage inverter circuit can supply a pulse with 250ns risetime andĀ±5kV of amplitude.
