The Design And Implementation Of Mobile IMEI Database Application System

New Services and Value-Added Services become new increasing points formobile communication operators, so the kind of mobile terminal used bymobile clients will be the cut-in point for precisely marketing. This paperproposes an application system based on mobile IMEI datavase. This systemcollects IMEI of client terminal from user's calling records, other servicesrecords, e.g. MMS bill and GPRS bill. It also extracts information about IMEItype, function, price etc from multiple sources. Then a mobile terminal IMEIdatabase is produced and several value-added modules are development basedon the database.First, this paper introduces the related knowledge about IMEI. Then itdescribes the framework of IMEI system, the design and implementation ofIMEI system respectively. After that the configuration environment of thissystem is presented. It also illustrates the implementation methods of severalmain value-added modules, e. g. repetitve register analysis, detachmentanalysisof customized terminal sale package, OTA-assistted mobile phonesetting and foreground reminding platform etc.The research and implementation of IMEI database and its application isvery important for mobile communication operators, and would provide vitalsupports to marketing decision-making for business management andcustomer service.
