The Research And Application Of HA Of Database On On-line Register System

With the development of Internet, database has beard the weight of the key department in most fields. For example, portal site, E-government, E-commerce, bank business and exchange business etc. It has taken the key points of the national economy. With the users' increasing, the conventional database can not meet the user demands of rapidly seeking information. The research of high availability of database is necessitous.Based on researching abroad and consulting many literatures, the thesis studied the on-line register system for NMT of Guangdong province and the practial technology to improve the availability of database. It presents a database cluster method, and advanced the deficiency in the runtime.The thesis designs a database cluster system base on database gateway. There are three daemon threads, one thread deals with the client requests, another manages the base information and status of the authenticate server and the real database server, the other gets the loads of the real database server and register the load information. After accepted request, the first step is get the authentication from the authenticate server, then transmits the different contents to the different real database server according to the different command, and gets the result. Then it gives the result to the client.The thesis chooses the traditional open source system Linux and MySQL as development and test platform, and uses the C program language implemented. It has been test most basic operation by sql-bench tool of MySQL. It proved that the gateway-based database cluster system has well data availability, high efficiency and transplantable. It is planning to apply in the on-line register system for NMT of Guangdong province and the Guangzhou Wangfujing e-commerce system.Finally, the thesis summarizes the new technologies and theories about the database cluster, and shows the direction of the further study.
