Since 1990's, infotainment has become a global trend, which also inevitablyinfluences China's medium. There is no final conclusion about what Infotainment hasbrought to us after all. Hunan TV is one of the medium which is the mostcharacteristic and distinct, being deeply affected in this global trend.This paper selects Hunan TV as the example to study the theory of theinfotainment. I hope I can do some contributes to this academy field.There are five parts in this paper. PartⅠexpounds the background andsignificance of this paper; PartⅡexpounds some conceptions and form causes aboutinfotainment simply; PartⅢtry to analyze it's management strategy and gimmickcombining with the present situation of Hunan TV; PartⅣexplores the defect andabuse about infotainment with rational thinking; PartⅤis a summary, expectingHunan TV continuing moving forward on the road of infotainment.
