From Entertainment News To Infotainment Programs

The two functions that TV provides are information and entertainment. The two parts are self-existent. But now, because of the developing of TV industry and intervention of market economic, TV producer has focused on accepter rather than broadcaster. As a result, the two functions—information and entertainment—enlarged their own range. The different between information and entertainment has become more and more blur. Think of the requirement of entertainment ,they produce infotainment. Vice versa.This paper used infotainment as a reference, to faces on the entertainment program. I tried to find out the reason why information come into entertainment program and the advantages and problem it will engender. Hope this will give some good apocalypse to the developing practice.Studying at entertainment news in China, my paper tried to distinguish many kinds of TV entertainment news, analyze why entertainment news come to being. I also analyzed its development and character and tried to solve these problems reference to the programs of Taiwan and Hong Kong.
