With the rapid development of information technology, software has been convertedfrom individual producing into mass production. Software projects are gradually gettinglarger and more complicated. In the meantime, the chronic quality issue of the softwareis becoming more and more critical. Therefore, software quality control and managementshow significant values.In this paper, a set of practical quantitative management measures are proposed forthe enterprise which is using the RUP iterative development pattern. First, the CMMImodel and basics of quantitative management and their important roles in ensuring thequality of software project are discussed. Secondly, based on the three essentialelements of quantitative management (objects, tools and standards), a set ofquantitative management measures are presented. The process of software sizeestimation is described in detail with applications in a wireless orientation platformsystem project. Actual applications show the feasibility and usability of the proposedquantitative management measures for software quality insurance and control. At theend, the prospects of future development. Quantitative Management are presented.
