Research And Design Of Interface Layer On The Platform Of Location Based Service

As the emerge and rapid development of mobile user size all over the world and theemphasis and extension of operators, with the impetus of both most technoloby such as mobilecommunications, Internet, and the social requirement, LBS(Location Based Service) is believedto be one of the most profitable value-added services just following the Short MessageService. Therefore, researching and developing LBS platform means tremendous businesspotential in the market.Under emerge and rapid development trend of LBS business, design and implement of theinterface layer on LBS-based platform is proposed in the paper, which easy to extend andconvenient to transplant, by analyzing the present problems and requirement of project aboutLBS interface layer. LBS Platform is defined as common and easy extension platform, whichbased on the LBS system application characteristics and implementation of the core systemfunctions. As the same time, it provides a group of Java API and several interfaces based onXML, which both make application convenient, consequently they simplify the furtherdevelopment on this LBS platform.This thesis introduces the analysis and design of LBS interface layer, and implementationof two function, that they are short message service and location sub-modules. Firstly, based onthe present problems of interface layer, a thought that is unifying many kinds of interfaceprotocols and smoothing the differences of access method is proposed; moreover, the paperanalyses interface layer on the LBS platform about its status and action, and emphaticallyintroduces many kinds of interface communication protocols, location technologies and ChinaMobile Point to Point and so on. Consequently it finishes the design scheme of interface layer.Then the implementation method on each module, the API used by interface layer, the flow ofservice data and implement code are described in detail, supplying implementation examples.With CMPP Gateway Simulator, the Instruction about the API on Short Message Interface andChina Mobile Le Ls's Location Simulator, the testing of interface layer is completed. Inaddition to it, the testing job includes the interface layer on the whole platform. As a result, itproves the interface layer achieves the expected function, satisfying further development on thisLBS platform.In the end, the task of this paper is summarized. Meanwhile the paper also brings forth theimprovement and perfect work in the next step. The LBS Platform may have good expansibilityand portability. So the work done is worth for the prosperous development of LBS.
