With the developing of communication technology and computer science, as well as the expending of the network scale, the new requirement for the reliability and the maintainability of the networks comes forth, at the same time, the administration of networks, including network configuration, surveillance and maintenance, needs higher requirement.In this paper, we propose a realization of network management in PHS packet solution, which is based on Netman 2020 (mSwitch). PPCU is the pivotal function unit for realizing PHS packet mode, and acts as a X.25 to GTP protocol gateway in iAN8000 chassis. The whole network management architecture can be divided into two parts: one is based on the Netman, including the network management protocol (UNCP), MIB, and so an; the other, including internal message and interface, is set up on a new software architecture based on IXP2350, and breaks some limitions of the current network management. Besides, after analyzing the disadvantages of VxWorks's module (tShell), according as the requirement of network management, we customize a conformable shell via RCC.Network processor, Intel IXP2350 presents some specific characters; it comprises an Intel XScale core, up to four Microengines, etc. The core components that act as a bridge between lntel XScale core processor and Microengines, are executed on the Intel XScale core processor, and take charge of communication between Microengines and Intel XScale core processor.Set up an environment for PHS packet solution (Including CS, CSC, mSwitch, PPCU, PDS, etc). ST (system testing).
