Inventory Control is one of the most complicated and crucial parts in the logisticssystem of the enterprise. Inventory Control System is for controlling Inventory relatedStrategies—method, technology, management and collection of operational processes. This system has the long processes, which starts from the selection of goods andmaterial, material planning, ordering, stocking, goods entrance, stock registry, storageand goods delivery or exporting the goods out of stock at last. The aim of InventoryControl is to ensure the exact and timely supply of material, and to control the amountof Inventory on a secure level either excess storage or deficient storage in order toguarantee the safety in the enterprise operation and to reduces the cost expense, whichis the requirement of high standard management in the enterprise.Firstly, this thesis discusses about basal relative technology which includes UMLmodel-building technology,. Net Framework, ADO.NET, C# language as well as SQLServer that will be used for developing our system. This thesis discusses about the system analysis and system design in the secondpart. The system analysis includes functional and non-functional requirements. Thethesis firstly discusses the functional system model, information model, functionaltree structure, the key functions of the system and the relationship between each keyfunction and its sub-functions, and Database design, and the Interface design. Finally, we discuss the key functions of the system and the implementationtechnology. Based on the process of information flow, we get the conclusion thatinformation management and warehouse management are the key functions of thesystem. The implementation Technology shows the detail of the implementationphases for instance, how does the system work, how to connect SQL Server databaseto load and access data, how to select data from database, how to add, update, deletedata from database, how to view bmp picture files, and how to print the data out fromthe database, and how to make the statistical calculation for the average amount, totalbalance, and so on.As the conclude, The thesis discusses the Inventory Control System by includingthe material flow management which starts from the selection of goods and material, ordering, storage and goods delivery, logistics flow, information flow, and integratedmanagement. The system can be managed the information of vendors, customers, goods and materials, as well as warehouse which basically covers all kinds of flowsand processes of the Inventory management as well as its related factors. We end ourthesis with the recommendation for future work such as we will use the VisualStudio.NET 2005 as the tool, and the ASP.NET technology with C#, Oracle 9ⅰ, andadding some script languages such as DHTML, JavaScript, for the futuredevelopment of our system, in order to make our system more accurate andefficiency.
