Research On Uyghur Intelligent Input Method And Its Implementation Based On WinCE

With the rapid development of Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), improving the input speed on PDA has become more and more important. Uyghur has the character of adhesive word-building like Arabic. letters are inputted one by one when they are being inputted. There are more researches about input method at home and abroad such as ziguang input method, sougou input method ,etc, although there have been studies of the Uyghur input methods, few studies about Uyghur intelligent input method. At present, users are making use of the traditional Uyghur input methods, but these input methods have such a shortcoming: Once the user presses one key, he will input one letter only. This significantly reduces the efficiency of inputting since the user presses the keys too frequently. To address this shortcoming, this paper designed the"Uyghur Intelligent Input Method". It provides the functions of furnishing Uyghur words, offering Uyghur phrases, affording word memory, adjusting word frequency, adding and deleting automatically words, etc.Firstly, we must establish a lexicon for a new kind of intelligent input method and then manipulate it with some relevant algorithms. If the lexicon of Uyghur Intelligent Input Method uses traditional way—database to store, there will be a more difficult problem—sort of Uyghur, Aiming at this problem and considering the merits of document storage, this paper chose document as the storage structure and I programmed two functions, one writes the file, the other reads the file. In order to implement functions of the Uyghur Intelligent Input Method and improve its efficiency, this paper designed a"Writing Structure"for data written into file; presented some algorithms of adding and deleting words automatically, modulating word frequency, etc; designed a new coding scheme—Sound Coding; wrote a sort function of Uyghur based on Uyghur lexicographic order.Finally, the experiments show that the Uyghur Intelligent Input Method has achieved foundational functions and improved the efficiency of inputting.
