Global digital economy promotes telecommunication network's evolution everyday. The emerging new technology, new equipments and new tele-services in the telecommunication networks make it more and more difficult to manage and operate the network. Furthermore, telecommunication equipment vendors provide network management system with different specific management protocol. This makes great difficulty in fulfilling integrated management of the network with an acceptable cost and management quality. All these are in breach of the idea of TMN (Telecommunication Management Network). As a supporting network, TMN is an important part of telecommunication network. How to construct TMN system effectively has been being a hot point.This paper aims at the transport network management system, with integrated network management as the goal, and the network management interface as the core technology. This paper discusses technologies related to management interface, the management requirement of the NML(Network Management Layer)-EML(Element Management Layer) interface. This paper also discusses the management organization model, information model and structure model of the NML-EML interface. This paper proposes a solution to transport network NML-EML management interface based on the above discussion and with the use of CORBA technology. At the end, this paper validates the solution proposed by the application and analysis of transport network management system of Huawei technological co. Ltd.The study of this paper summarizes a viable solution to the integrated transport network management system.
