Research And Realization Of Network Fault Management System Based On Manager/Agent

With the development of the network technology, the new technologies and new businesses continouesly come forth, and the scale of network spreads very quickly. How to manage the networks efficienciently and economicly is the important aspect that service providers concern on. Network management becomes more and more important.Network Fault Management is a core function of Network Management. The aim of Network Fault Management is that it helps the people who operates and maintains the network learn the abnormal running state of the equipment and network in time, and it helps the operater decide the reason and location of fault, to help them mend the fault, so as to guarant the normal running state of the equipments and networks.In this paper, the author first introduces the function requirements of the Network Fault Management System, then the Architecture of the Network Fault Management System integrated with the TMN technology, CORBA technology and the development pattern of Manager/Agent is established. The Architecture is established through the research of CORBA, TMN and Manager/Agent pattern. After this, the author discusses the realization of key composed parts among them, including the TMN Architecture, the application of CORBA technology and Network Fault Management Service, etc..After this, the author introduces the fault data acquisiton model and realization of Network Fault Monitor in the Network Fault Management System. And this is based on the development experiences when engaging in the development of Network Fault Management System in the Datang Software Technologies CO. Ltd., at the same time combined with the project requirement.Finally, the research and realization of Expert System of Network Fault Management is introduced in detail.
