Corba / Web-based Product Information Management Model Study

With development of PDM, the disadvantages of existing PDM product have become a hindrance to improve competition of enterprise, so to enhance the ability of opening and integration is critical. The three-tier architecture based on CORBA and Web is the best solution.Firstly, on the base of the research on CORBA and Web, this paper put forward the three-tier architecture based on CORBA and Web; Secondly, by analyzing the character of product data, we establish the physical and logical model of data layer, and design the database for the full product cycle life; thirdly, we obtain the component model based on UML through analyzing the function requirement of PDM system; Finally, a topological model of PDM based CORBA and Web is established, and the CORBA component and Web server is realized by Jbuilder and FrontPage, a example is also implemented.
