Research In The Design, Realization And Application Of VDSL System

At present, along with the development of the wide band network application service such as IPTV and video phone, it is difficult for ADSL to satisfy these services'need for bandwidthes. The author proposed the design plan based on the VDSL wide band network technology through the analysis of the current wide band technology, and successfully developed the VDSL8024A product according to this plan. At the same time, the author has completely conducted the research and the analysis of VDSL8024A in the actual network application.First, this article detailedly introduced and analysed the VDSL related concept and technology, and focused on the introducing of VDSL QAM and the DMT modulation/demodulation related technology. At the same time, the author introduced and analysed the services which can be satisfied by the VDSL technology in the future, and the development direction of the VDSL technology.Then, this article detailedly introduced the VDSL system hardware realization plan, the embedded CPU POWERPC850, the solution of the INFINEON's 10Base-S VDSL technology, the principle of BCM5616 exchange chip, the correspondence and the management way between CPU and BCM5616.Afterwards, the author carries on the detailed research analysis and the introduction of the VDSL system software realization plan. Especially to the VDSL data modulation/demodulation technology, the speed which involves regarding the software plan defined in the technology, the ethernet data exchange technical, the VLAN design realization algorithm, the TRUNK design realization algorithm, the port MAC address limit design realization, the STP design realization algorithm, the SNMP network management design realization algorithm.Through the above software and hardware design realization plan, the author successfully designed the VDSL8024A of the wide band network technology.Finally, the author researches and analyses the application situation of VDSL8024A in Henan, Shanxi, the summary has thoroughly studied the VDSL system and the solution way of problems which meet in the practical application process. The author has built the good foundation for the VDSL wide band application smoothing to the deployment implementation.At the same time, the VDSL8024A product had already realized the volume production at present, and gradually begins to obtain the comparatively large-scale commercial use in Henan.Through the above research and analysis, achievements completely proved the superiority of the VDSL wide band technology's satisfaction in each kind of service application, especially in IPTV and video communication. At the same time, because the VDSL system uses the ethernet technology, it provides the advantages of supporting group services and the construction of local area network in enterprise, which the ADSL system can't provide.This also proved that this design proposal of using the ETHERNET OVER VDSL wide band technology has extremely superiority in satisfying many kinds of services. It can believe that with the development of VDSL technology and the IPTV service, ETHERNET OVER the VDSL wide band technology must be certainly to obtain a more widespread development and application.
