A Study On User Experience And Human-Computer Interaction In A Virtual Learning Environment

With the PC and Network technology development, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), where various tools are provided for the student to facilitate, became key point of recent research. Existing design approaches are driven by computer technology and instructional method, without taking User Experience into account. This paper describes a new approach of designing a computational learning environment, the learning-experience design approach; we start with the design of learning experience. This paper introduces learning-experience model and 3D interact model, and then investigates the system structure and realization method of an application case-3DGCTX-VLE.Work is as follows:1. Deeply study the element and guideline of user experience, present a new approach of system design and evaluation, and suggest a dynamic model.2. Integrate the user learning-experience into the 3D interact environment, analyze the character of the syntheses, and build up user learning-experience and 3D interact model in VLE, describe 3D interact elements: navigation, manipulation and system control in detail.3. Design and realize 3DGCTX-VLE based on the experience and interaction model.The universal method and framework of the paper can also be used by other VLE system designs.
