The development of computer technology and widespread popularity of network makes the application of computer education has a great deal of development. More and more people acquire knowledge by using computers. However, how to improve the learning efficiency has become an important problem for modern computer education in the modern society. To solve this problem, many researchers, who works in educational technology and other related field with computer education, proposed a teaching system model which can provide personalized teaching for learners, after making a further study on the influence factors of education. As an important representative for personalized teaching system, the intelligent CAI courseware provide personalized teaching for learners based on the personality characteristics of learners, which make the computer education has a great development.Without the limits of time and space, learners can choose learning time and place freely through an intelligent CAI courseware system. To a certain extent, traditional intelligent CAI courseware has achieved the function of individualized teaching, which can provide suitable teaching content for learners on the basis of the learner’s cognitive ability. But, the intelligent CAI cannot understand learners’emotional state timely, ignoring the influence of emotion on learning.In this paper, we have make a further study on the structure of intelligent CAI courseware system and the method for constructing the correlation model, and regard learners’emotion and cognition as the basis of the personalized teaching. We have analyzed the relevant technology for emotional recognition, because the expression is the external manifestation of emotion, we recognize emotion through facial expression recognition. At the end, considering the multiple expressions to identify emotional state. We have completed the overall framework and each module of the intelligent CAI courseware based on emotional cognition. The main work of the paper includes the followings:(1) Research on the intelligent CAI at home and abroad, and summed up the deficiencies of intelligent CAI, and the significance of this topic.(2) Using the Adaboost algorithm to complete the detection of facial emotion recognition in the process of learning, and the expression image module using a variety of algorithms for feature extraction, finally realizes the feature classification recognition using k nearest neighbor algorithm, very good recognition of the learner’s facial expression. And, we select the k nearest expressions, considering the expressions as the basis of recognize the emotional state.(3) The framework of intelligent CAI courseware system based on the emotion and cognition is designed and implemented in this paper. Through the analysis of the structure and modeling method of intelligent CAI, we constructed student model and teaching model based on cognition and emotion, and applied these models into intelligent CAI courseware system.(3) In the learning process by using the intelligent CAI courseware, system adjust the emotional state of learners through the information passing from the facial expression recognition module; in the end of learning, system need to calculate learners’cognitive ability; furthermore, proposed the following suggestion based on the state of emotion and the ability of cognizance.(4) Simulated the teaching process of intelligent CAI courseware, in the process of simulated, the emotional regulation and learning guidance achieved a well results.
