Research And Implementation Of General Adapter In IT Infrastructure Management System

The service management solution based on ITIL standards is widely accepted and is actually the industrial standard. The IT infrastructure management is the fundamental part of ITIL framework, it manages the infrastructure with emphasizing technical point and ensure that the IT infrastructure is stable and credible and should support the requirement and operation of businesses. The IT infrastructure is a typical multi-vendor device environment, there are so many management interfaces in it, so it is necessary to develop a general interface adapter with high scalability and usability.Firstly, the basic knowledge of ITIL is introduced and the research backgroud and significance of this issue is also described. Secondly, in terms of the Network Management theory and the characters of IT infrastructure, the design concepts and function requirements of the IT infrastructure management system are introduced, and the management system framework is represented. Then, the problems of traditional interface adapter are introduced. With these problems, the software architectures of general alarm adapter and performance adapter based on XML are put forward, and the module design, primary data structures and algorithms, central working flow are also stated. At last, the conclusion of this paper and some future work are briefly introduced.
