The Research And Development Of The CAN Bus Adapter Based On The USB Technology

The paper mainly discusses the design and realization of the software of central station of the USB interface based on CAN(Controller Area Network).The model can be considered as a USB device which was connected to PC and also can be considered as a CAN note which has rich functions by seeing from the different direction. The hardware is mainly made of AT89S52 ,DIUSBD12 and SJA 1000.The article sets forth these tasks as follows. The singlechip programs the firmware to PDIUSBD12 which is a kind of USB interface chips. The cummunication appears between D12 and up-location computer and man-machine mutual interface comes into being . Lots of data from the industry spot is printed, analyzed and disposed on time. On the base of wonderful understanding to USB protocol and device truss, I finish the hardware design and software programme of the data collection system and draw the principle chart and make the hardware exploitation board. The software programme mainly includes three parts, which are the fireware code in need of D12' s maximum transmission rate, USB device driver and client application under the circustance of Windows 2000 operation system in computer. Based on the platform of Windows 2000, the software is developed with C as the programming language. The system uses the fieldbus technology and applies the full solution of the information intercourse in the communication of the CAN/USB interface. It insures information' s regularity and realizes the WDM initialization of USB device .Because of the currency of this software and hardware, it is extended to the applications of the other fieldbus.
