Abstract/Summary:
Because of strong building during the tenth five-year period, Chinese super highway has been approached to 45300 kilometers till the end of 2006. Based on statistic results, most of super highways in china are be charged currently, they are divided into two groups: some tolled for compensating its loan, and the others tolled for its own management. Loaned super highway occupies a main position among them, which holds eighty percent of all. Since highway traffic increases rapidly, the capacity of toll station has been close to its saturated state, and more seriously, some super highway toll station has been stepped into heavy blocked condition. Last year, Shanghai and Jiangsu province has been proposed independently that the cars should be passed freely once the queue length exceeds the maximum length. As a result, it is essential to research and implement a novel toll collection technology with expanding easily character based on existing toll collection system.Based on Yanjiang super highway toll collection system in Jiangsu province, we make a detailed analysis on many issues including toll collection management architecture, constitute of system, the work flow and the other key topics. We propose a novel multi-point toll collection management mode and lane setting methods which is suitable for Yanjiang super highway. We also analysis traffic organizations based on different lane setting modes. A detailed research on multi-point toll collection procedure management flow, toll collection flow of station, multi-point toll collection point toll flow and data information exchanging between weighted data serried equipment and toll collection ones is also carried out. In the dissertation, we also design the software function module and work flow for multi-point toll collection system which includes multi-point toll collection terminal application software, weighted toll collection application software and toll station background processing software, etc., Finally, Hardware architecture of multi-point toll collection system is also be designed and we propose three application modes for multi-point system named standard mode, car mode and emergency mode respectively. The main characters of our research topic as follows:1). After analysis of Multi-point toll collection along the Yanjiang super highway is feasible. It builds on wireless network basically, so it can be deployed rapidly and agility to achieve the emergency toll collection goal.2).Based on the weighted data serried processing, Multi-point toll collection system can realize the dynamic extending toll collection for car and truck mixed lane.3).Multi-point toll collection system is compatible with the existing toll collection system, so it can link up with existing system seamlessly.
