With the rapid development of power electronics technology, DC stabilized power supply is used widely in the field of teaching and research, which is one of the common electronic technology equipments and also is an important component in most of the electronic equipment. According to the statistical analysis of electronic equipment failure data, 60% malfunction is due to DC stabilized power supply failures. Consequently, it is necessary to pay attention to reliability problem of DC stabilized power supply.In order to enhance the reliability of DC stabilized power supply, the principal problem is to clear understand the failure mechanism of DC stabilized power supply, and make rational improvement for those factors which easily lead to failure. Also, we should deal with DC stabilized power supply failure detection in the process of routine maintenance, and assess the failure degree of DC stabilized power supply in time. Hence, the dissertation studies the experimental system of DC stabilized power supply failure detection.Firstly, the dissertation introduces the principle, characteristics and development of linear and switching DC stabilized power supply; demarcates several failure types of the DC stabilized power supply, and analyses DC stabilized power supply failure mechanism from two aspects-environmental factors and stress. Secondly, according to the steady and dynamic parameters of DC stabilized power supply, the dissertation designs failure detection assessment experimental system.The core module of testing system is computer data acquisition and processing system, which is a hardware experimental circuit of DC stabilized power supply failure detection and evaluation achieved by using FPGA, high-speed AD conversion chip and DA conversion chip. It can acquire and transform steady and dynamic parameters of DC stabilized power supply. The upper computer operating procedures are programmed using VB software, which can analyses and deal with steady-state and dynamic parameters. The procedures apply the idea of virtual instrument, use object-oriented program design method, and adopt numerical analysis and signal processing as the main approach.The test system can implement the majority failure detection of low-power DC stabilized power supply. It also can process data, which are parameters of measured DC stabilized power supply. The results can be saved and printed. Finally, the tested system performance is detected by experiments, and the test results of DC stabilized power supply are analyzed.
