Thoughts Of Objective Reporting In China

Objective reporting is a basic concept in journalism theory,also a basic problem of journalistic practice.At the turn of 1920 and 1930,objective reporting concept had already become the main journalistic idea,and eventually became the professional regulation and journalistic rules.But what conditions has objective reporting been in china? What development has it experienced? What status does it hold in journalism theory and practice of China? What role does it play? What does it implicate and what ethos does it manifest? What future will it have? The researches on these questions still have some dispersal and unsystematic deficiency.This paper will make comprehensive,systematic and integrated research from analyzing the documents and texts of Chinese objective reporting theory and practice,to analyze the origin and basis,formation and evolution,substance and connotation,application and operation,so that we can make clear understand of historical skeleton,academic structure,ethos and principle of Chinese objective reporting,to find the keystone and difficulty in Chinese objective reporting practice,to direct our objective reporting practice effectively. In this process,this paper will introduce creatively the concepts of relative object,absolute object and degree of object, and put objective reporting into the process and strain of communication to locate its position,to clarify some obscure cognition and controversy in objective reporting theory and practice. Researching objective reporting theory and practice in China comprehensively,systematically and integrally is helpful to understand Chinese objective reporting as a whole,to remove the misunderstanding and ambiguity. Also it is helpful to enhance the professional literacy of our journalist operator,to proceed objective reporting practice correctly, so that we can promote and keep the power of influence and credibility of our news media and its communicating activities home and abroad.
