Interpretation Of The Law Of The Principle Of Journalistic Objectivity

During the last 20 years, together with the progressive evolution of the social democratic and juridical system, along with the rapid growth of the information technology, the Chinese journalism industry is facing a series of new problems that it has never met throughout the long progress of its development. Journalism Objectivity, considered as one of the basic principles of journalism, is facing challenges coming from different areas. How should the journalists follow the Journalism Objectivity principle without causing a tort relation? How to avoid the breaking of civil rights while execute the Journalism Objectivity principle? How to defend the proper rights that the journalistic organizations and journalists should achieve under the established law and regulation? In order to approach the answers and the solutions of the above mentioned questions and that many other questions with the same characters, it is indispensable to realize a cross-sector study over the leading principle of journalism, the Journalism Objectivity, theoretically as well as practically.Base on the fact that the Chinese society is under the progress of a continuous optimization and evolution of its democratic and juridical system, this thesis makes a thoroughly study over the four basic aspects of the Journalism Objectivity: the basic element, the social effect, the implementation principle and the basic standpoint. By the means of extensive case study, which includes cases mostly focused by the public, the thesis extents the study over the carrier of the Journalism Objectivity practice - the journalistic organizations and the journalists, with the purpose to clarify the social responsibilities that the journalistic organization or the journalists should undertake and the basic rights they are entrusted by the law and the society. Besides, the practice of the solution of the practical problems related to the rights and responsibilities of the journalistic organizations and journalists, is also a issue that this thesis focuses and enhances.It is important to emphasize that, under the socialist democracy and legal system, the law would and should employ simultaneously the defense and restriction of the Journalism Objectivity practice, meanwhile, the practice of the Journalism Objectivity also requires a stable legal system which could be a firm protection and administration of the journalism practice. The execution of the Journalism Objectivity could only be realized with the simultaneous adaptation of the valuation and discipline attitudes. In such way, the Journalism Objectivity will be able to realize its function as the protection and restriction method of the news diffusion.With this thesis, the author would like to call the attention of both journalism and law academicians who are able to work together to promote the future establishment of the Journalistic Juridical System and a complete Journalism Law for China.
