The Impacts And Countermeasures Of University Libraries In China Under The Network Environment

As the development of information technology and network technology, the information society is coming. Network has a profound impact on people's work, study and life. Library as a national information resources guarantee center, the influence of network environment is more direct and concrete. Especially due to the users and information resources establishment of university library is different from other libraries, university library has to pay high attention to the influences of network environment, and propose the new ideas of library work.This paper analyzes the overall information environment of our country and the library's network environment, learns about the present situation of the university library under the network environment, points out the merits and shortcomings of the university library; On this basis, the article focuses to analyzes the impacts of the university library under the network environment, the impacts include five aspects: the impact on the establishment of information resources; the impact on library service models; the impact on library work; the impact on librarians' qualities; the impact on the library management; From this, we can get a conclusion that network environment has the impacts on all the work aspects of university library. How to deal with the influences, the author gives some countermeasures as follow: Co-building and sharing of information resources; innovating new service patterns; organizing users training and education; strengthening the construction of librarians; realizing the transformation of management models and so on. We hope these countermeasures can offer some reference functions to the university library.
