Design And Implement Of Platform-based Embedded Web Camera System

The digital video monitor system is widely applied for its intuitionistic and convinientcharacteristic. Embedded web camera is an essential component of the system. Thesystem software and hardware platforms, application software design are the main workfor this system. This thesis proposed an embedded web camera system design based onthe platform-based design methodology. Compared with the design methodologies on PCplatform, the embedded system design methodologies are in the stage of exploration. Theembedded system design methodologies are the significant elemnt for the time-to-marketand design cost.The platform-based design methodology devides system design into software andhardware platform. It improves time-to-market and saves design cost by define layers onthe key points of desing process. Therefore, the platform-based design of embedded webcamera design is profound in theory research and practice.The thesis adopted platform-based design methodology and proposed a design methodof embedded web camera system. The main contents of this thesis are:1. The main theory and concepts are introduced.2. This thesis done the researches of system software and hardware components, andproposed the system software platform layers, the mapping of software platform toarchitecture platform stack.3. Video cpatureing module design was introduced, which described the programmingfor camera video captureing. There is also the work of camera driver porting.4. Network video transportation analysis and design are introduced, in which thethesis desribes the process for this module.Finally, the thesis concluded the design of the system.
