With the embedded video surveillance equipment being networked, high-definition, intelligent, high-performance chips are constantly developed. Based on these different chips’ designs, the development of relevant device drivers are more and more importent. Therefore, the research of embedded network video surveillance equipment driver is a very good subject. It has important social and practical values.Based on the embedded Linux device driver research, combined with the requirements, the choice to use TMS320DM365as the core chip is made. This thesis focus on the design and implement of the front-end video capture with TVP5151device driver, audio playback and capture with AIC3101device driver, and so on. After testing, this device could meet the basic user requirements of the embedded network video surveillance equipment. The main jobs of this paper are as follows:Firstly, according to the mainstream hardware frame analysis and actual needs, the choice to use the chip TMS320DM365which based on the technology of DaVinci as the main chip for the embedded network video surveillance equipment is made. After its peripheral hardware circuit designd together and software development environment setted up, the paper completes the system bootup program, the Linux kernel modifications and configurations.Secondly, this paper analysises and designs for the drivers of each modules in the embedded network video surveillance equipment. And then it focus on the completion of video capture module based on TVP5151chip, audio capture and playback module based on AIC3101chip, memory modules, network modules, and other device drivers.Finally, after the hardware, video in3G, wifi and wired networks, and audio tested, these drivers and system work well. This equipment could capture, transmission and storage video, and has the capabilities of audio capture and playback, etc. It achieves the basic requirements of the embedded network video surveillance equipment for users.
