With the development of science and technology. Fingerprint identification was widely applied in personal identification. Fingerprint identification isn't prone to being lost, forgotten, copied and stolen compare with the traditional personal identification methods, such as token or password. Fingerprint Identification Technology, based on the character of fingerprint and information identification technology, is a rising and applied technology. Compare with other biology identification technology, Fingerprint Identification Technology has the advantage of convenience, high accuracy and low cost high accuracy and low cost, and it has become a effective personal identification method in many aspects, such as electronic commerce, criminal identification, information safety etc.Have summarized the actuality of the development of fingerprint identification technologies in this thesis, deeply studies fingerprint identification Algorithm, and gains the specific Algorithms which were used in this system. In hardware aspect, the system adopt soft-core microprocessor, jujitsu's MBF200 fingerprint acquisition card and ATM12864 LCD, and designed a set of economic, practical and easily upgraded embedded hardware platform, moreover the cycle of development is quite short. The design of the software adopts C/C++, software editor, compiler and debugger can be completed on NiosⅡIDE.The main accomplished work in this thesis:First, the history of the development of fingerprint identification technology introduce a detail review, also make a compare with traditional identity authentication, and further introduce on the fingerprint identification of the specific application. The development, applications and features of SOPC technology are introduced in this thesis.Have studied the Algorithm of fingerprint image such as division, fingerprint, thinning, feature extraction, false feature taking off , feature matching etc. has adopted a set of stronger utility fingerprint identification Algorithm combining with the embedded systematic characteristic.In the basis of introducing NiosⅡcharacteristic and MBF200 function, have designed a set of embedded hardware platform which is based on NiosⅡmicroprocessor. at the same, designed a kind of NiosⅡsoft-core microprocessor which is needed by this system and is based on SOPC Builder, and gave the key hardware circuit.Synthesize the fingerprint identification Algorithm, designed the fingerprint distinguishes flow chart of systematic host procedure from MBF200 and ATM12864 LCD flow chart out.Finally, summarize the main work of this thesis, has pointed out the research direction of further study.
