The Fingerprint identification systems are used in every aspect of life.Such as working system,security system,bank security system.From the pespective of genetic analying,because of the unique and stability of fingerprint,the fingerprint identification acquries fast development in the biometric identification fields.At present,the fingerprint identification systems are based on the plantform of PC computer and development enviroment,leading to high cost,large size and inconvenient,at the same time,limiting the development of the image of fingerprint identification.Therefor developing high recognition rate,low rejection rate,fast processing,small size fingerprint is a new reseach direction and has great market potention.In this background,embedding fingerprint identification system comes into being.however the fingerpint image algorithm is not perfect ,as well as the embeding system is difficult and the current fingerprint identification equipment is not mature.for this reason,we have developped a special embedding fingrint indetification system.It is used to determine accurately ocassion.As the ARM(Advanced RISC Machines) family of processors performance contiues to improve.ARM apply in the field of complex data processing instead of DSP.At the same time,the powerful ARM processor controlling functions,the rich peripheral ports as well as the operating system transplanting,so this paper takes ARM processor as the core of fingerprint identification system instead of DSP processor. Samsung's S3C2410 processor integrated 32 bit microcontroller of ARM920T of ARM company,having 16kb data cach,16kb command cach,Ram controller,Nand flash controller,.UART,JTAG,PWM,parallel I/O port ,ADC,Touch sceen Interface,USB controllers, and other resources, the nominal frequency 203MHZ, up to 266MHZ. S3C2410 has a wealth of high-speed peripherals and computational speed and running Linux operating system,so as to meer the requiemens of processor in the fingerprint indentification system.The fingerprint image acquisition takes the network camera,the camera has clear picture,small size,high pixel.The cameral connects S3C2410 with USB port,having simple and tight hardware.
