As the improvement of people's living standard and the increase of private car, the situation of city traffic has deteriorated increasingly. The study of car-load information system is significance for solving the problem of city traffic.Car-load Satellite positioning system is an embranchment of ITS(Intelligent Transportation System).As the foundation of ITS, its primary function is to find the position of the appointed car at the appointed time.This thesis has deeply researched in a real-time boat surveillance system based on GPRS ,which can not only realized the precision positioning to conveyance, but also transferred the information to the surveillance center on real-time. According to the status messages of mobile terminals, the surveillant can realize real-time control over traffic, reduce traffic pressure, increase the utilization of resource, response to the emergency in time.General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a packet switching system that developed on the base of GSM, GPRS can enter into Internet or local area network, it can provide abundant data transfer transaction to client, such as text, audio, picture and so on. The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) can keep always-on connection, and its fare is cheap. Due to these characteristics of GPRS, it is extensively used in the field of real-time control and mobile terminals' surveillant data real-time transmission. The GPRS can be applied to Intelligent Transportation System, through integrated the Global Positioning System (GPS), The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Geographic Information System (GIS), an integrated surveillance system is constructed, the system can monitor and track moving boat and vehicle on real-time.A real-time boat surveillance system using GPRS is deeply researched and the system's architecture is showed. As the basic two part of the system: mobile terminals and GIS server, both of them are particularly analyzed from construction of software and hardware. The idea of Multi-GPS positioning is adopted in the design of mobile terminals, it can improves the positioning precision and cuts the cost of the system. In the scheme of this subject, the ARM embeded system is used as the hardware platform. With the advantage of the embeded operating system running in the platform, the GPRS technology is applied in the Car-load GPS Satellite positioning system.This subject provides a feasible design of Car-load GPS Satellite positioning system which has the ability of surveillance on real-time.
