| With the development of electronic technology, semiconductor technology, integrated circuits and computer technology, the mobile communication technology is developing fast and applied more and more widely. As the interface equipments of mobile communication technology, the mobile terminal technology is suffered great attention. In particular, many devices and instruments of traditional industries need to connect with the Internet in order to communicate with the monitoring center to meet the requirements of informatization, even if they are moving. Therefore, it is necessary and meaningful to develop kinds of simple, reliable and practical mobile data terminals.In this thesis, combined with the embedded technology, the Linux operating system is employed as the operating system of the mobile data terminal, GPRS communication technology as the communication technology. The hardware platform is constructed and designed, and the software developing platform is built on my own. Then, the embedded Linux system is designed and the application of GPRS module is developed so that the mobile data terminal can work to transmit data.Concretely, the cross development mode is adopted. The ARM9 processor AT91SAM9260 is selected as the microprocessor of the mobile data terminal, for which the transplant of Bootloader and Linux operating system kernel and the design of yaffs/yaffs2 root file system are accomplished. At the same time, SIM300C module is selected as the wireless data transmission module, of which the circuits and the application are designed.The ideas in the thesis can be extended to 3G and LTE terminals’research. The fruits have provided valuable solution for the development of terminal in the practical engineering applications. |
