Home centralized control system links all the electrical appliances in a family by the use of embedded technology, home appliance control criterion and the protocol of communication. It provides a more comfortable, secure and convenient living environment with the real-time and intelligent control of the appliances.This paper, which has an actual project background, includes the intelligent home's derivation, development and achievements in recent years. We observed that the tools of mobile communications were commonplaces now and the traditional appliances still played the main role at home. So according to our analysis and demonstration on the related technology, we designed the construction of the system, and presented a scheme that can implement interconnection in a house like a network. In this scheme, it used several technologies including RS-485 bus technology, mobile communication technology and infrared communication technology. Here, we presented the overall design of our intelligent home control systems that based on wireless communication. Parts of the system which have been realized are shown as follow:1. Participated in instituting the communication protocol of the system, which is based on the characteristic of data transmission in wireless communication theory and the need of this home centralized control system.2. Designed the wireless transceiver circuit and its peripheral circuit after the study of the theory of the wireless communication and the principle of nRF2401 chip. According to home appliances control protocol, I wrote the code of wireless transmission and receiving program with C, and implemented communication through the home appliances control system.3. Designed the LCD displaying circuit. The LCD can display types and numbers of the appliances that user is controlling through TN positive display.4. Designed the matrix keyboard circuit. Used interrupted mechanism to control the matrix keyboard so as to save power.5. By analyzing the characteristics of infrared pulse signal, this paper designed an infrared study and receiving circuit. It can receive infrared remote control signal correctly by the program. It also adopted the way of self-studying to control the traditional home appliances.6. Based on the LPC932 MCU, I wrote the code of matrix keyboard control module, LCD display module, receiving of infrared remote control signal and self-studying module, house safety defense module. The software of MCU and hardware of the house controller make up of the whole home control system. And the system has passed test.The circuits are adjusted and actually tested. The result of the test indicates the accomplishment of target and verifies the rationality of circuit.
