Along with the network information high development, it has brought the huge change for entire society, enabled the information network to obtain more and more widespread popularization, and it has been entering gradually into families, realizing family network, family information and family intellectualization. Thereby, the concept of smart-home has come into being, and been gradually known well, accepted and applied by people. Since the family is society's cell, if only the family realizes information, society will possibly truly realizing information, however, the only way which realizing family information is that we establish the perfect smart-home system.The smart-home's concept is that we connect all kinds of information equipments and family equipments through the family network, and maintain these equipments and the family coordination, in that case, we can construct the comfortable and security information family space to satisfy the people's need of living, working, entertainment and communication at home, and we also can take some other measures to provide the safe protection and the communication management.The family network is the basic of realizing the communication and controlling of intelligent equipments. Nowadays, there are two kinds of solutions: wire and wireless, and there are many communication standard about it, such as X-10, CEBus, HomeRF, Bluetooth, IEEE1394, HomePNA and so on.In this article, firstly the author detailed introduces the smart-home's concept, history, developments. Secondly, the author correlate the successful instance which is the centralized control system of smart-home to analyze the system's overall construction, software structure, and to analyze the system's programmer of internal threads' communication ,the system function module, the operation layer and so on, and to research and implement the correlative technology. At last the author talks about the system's implement and disposition. During working this article, the prime task, technical difficulties and innovation places are as follows:1. The smart-home composition: The smart-home is a multi-function technical system, including illumination control, electrical, appliances control, visible bells, family security, family integrated wiring system, remote controlling and so on. How to harmoniously manage above complex information equipments, to enhances the family network information real time and highly effective is important.2. Family information need and family information channel: In the smart-home system, the information reflects its share and cooperation between humans and equipments, between equipments and equipments, what's more among humans, equipments and social service system. On the other hand, comparing with the traditional electrical appliances, the information acceptor objects have changed, it is that the information acceptor is not merely human, and they have included information electric appliances.3. RS-485 BUS communication research and realization: RS-485 BUS standard has the function of multi-sports, twp-way communication, simultaneously increased the transmitter driving force and the conflict protection characteristic. In smart-home system, RS-485 can realize the information's alternate operation function through the main node's polling mechanism.4. Embedded technology's implement in smart-home system: Embedded system is taken the application as the center and the computer technology for the foundation, and the software and hardware may cut out, and it has the power loss lowly, the reliability high, the timely strong multi-duty operating system. The smart-home system manly has three kinds of technical plans: Based on PC construction, based on SCM construction and based on embedded construction. At present, the intelligence control system technology based on the SCM construction is widespread, but with the cost reducing gradually, our country's smart-home will move towards embedded technology finally.5. Middleware technology in family network: The middleware is an independent system software or service program, and it is placed between operating system and user application software. The middleware technology has solved two prominent questions in family network: resources constitution complexity and network dynamic. At present, UPnP, HAVi, Jini, OpenCable, DVB-MHP, and VESA and so on.6. COM realization under WinCE: Since the family network uses RS-485 BUS, the control system realizes communication among equipments with COM. In this article, in order to realize under the WinCE COM, the author have done many work on it, and carried on programming in this smart-home system, simultaneously the author have also encapsulate COM API to use conveniently for others.7. The centralized smart-home control system is composed by two parts: It is network server system and user application system, and the two part mutual adjusting work. In which, user application system is the core system, and it is responsible to operate the equipments, scenes and all kinds of data processing, all of these operations are directly used by users, network server system function is that help control system realize remote control and data backup.8. Main node's polling mechanism: The control system accesses RS-485 BUS is through the main node's polling mechanism, between the control system and main node through RS-232 COM, simultaneously main node has taken the control system load. In this construction, control system receiving and sending business passively.
