Research On Building A Harmonious News Media

It was clearly raised to build a harmonious socialistic society in Party's 16 sessions of Fourth Plenary Session. For its special status, media takes extra responsibilities and historic mission in the process.In 21 century, we walk into information age. There exists Contradiction between media and the masses: increasing massive accidents, enlarged range of dissention and more serious antagonism among people. In a word, the progress of society and economy is challenged. To deal with it, the author fully analyzes media's reasons that cause social inharmony and poses practical methods to construct a reasonable social life.It consists of three sections.In the first section, the important social function of mass media in building a harmonious socialistic society are discussed. With the development of science, new media appears and has big influence, such as internet and mobile phone. New media and old media coexists and competes.In the second section, inharmony of media or inharmonious voice in media's development is discussed from following aspects:(Ⅰ)commercialized media, including: the direct or indirect control of media by ad merchants; the vulgarization of media to appeal consumers;money news; illegal money in news reporting;less conscience of reporters;appearance of false news, et cetera;(Ⅱ) influential temptation of intemet;(Ⅲ) emergence of media imperialism;(Ⅳ) war between traditional and modern media;(Ⅴ) disorder of sub-media as mobile telephone;(Ⅵ) improper news language. In the last section, the measures to build harmonious news media is presented. Objectively facing inharmonious phenomena in real life relating to news media, the author proposes feasible and effective methods to create harmonious news media, such as:(Ⅰ) completeness and perfection of related laws(Ⅱ) improvement of media quality(Ⅲ) cultivation and formation of mass quality(Ⅳ) flexible adjustment of government's information(Ⅴ) prosperity of native culture and construction of modern media system to resist harmful foreign culture...
