Application Research In BBMS Based On Workflow Technology

The traditional way of handling business process is to hard code it in application.As long as there are some requirements to change the process, there is always hugework produced, which is also an unaffordable cost for companies. Workflowmanagement, as a part of enterprise middleware, can manage all kinds of processes inbusiness domain efficiently. Business experts can easily change business processwithout extra developing work, which is good way to lower IT cost, and therebyincrease the utilization ratio of resources.Based on BBMS, a project in DNCPC lab of Chengdu University of Technology,this thesis did some research on applying workflow technology to BBMS. A systemdesign method was advanced by means of the combination of J2EE standards andsoftware design pattern, and the solution of SSH framework was elaborated, whichimplemented the tier concept of J2EE by integrating the open source projects—struts,spring and hibernate. Under this framework, a role based access tier for workflowmanagement system was implemented to ensure the access security.The primary theory of workflow technology and principle of an open sourceworkflow engine—jBPM was studied, and a workflow management system onjBPM was implemented. In this part, the implementation of proess parsing and saving,process instance getting, managing and executing were specified respectively.The business process for BBMS was analyzed, and the customer managementsub-system modeling implementation with the results presented was put forward.
