The advantage of digital signal processing has been widely proved in such fields as radar, optics, and communication. However, the employing of DSP is based on analog signals'sampling technology. The increasing band of radar inevitably put forward higher request for the data acquisition system, which promotes the development of the high speed data acquisition system.The advantages of wide-band MMW radar, such as high range resolution, strong anti-stealth ability, strong anti-jamming ability, make it widely applied in the fields of radar detection, imaging, accurate positioning and target recognition. Correspondingly the wide band of MMW radar system results in a higher request for the performance of the ADC and real-time data acquisition system because of its wide band.This dissertation is on the background of the development of the radar subsystem in 973 advance research project, which is named"battlefield information awareness system based on multiple sensors in a land vehicle". A dual-channel wide-band MMW radar system with real-time data acquisition is designed and implemented based on CompactPCI bus.Firstly, the background of the subject is elaborated. The status quo of the high speed A/D sampling and system bus technology, both home and abroad, is reviewed, and then the demanding of the wide band of MMW radar system is analyzed according to performance index of the system front-end.Secondly, a dual-channel data sampling hardware platform is designed according to the wide band MMW radar system front-end performance requesting, which includes A/D converter, data storing circuit, interface circuit of master and processing system, logic control circuit. The anti-jamming technique of the system is also analyzed in the end.Thirdly, the driver of the data acquisition equipment based on WDM model is developed. The CompactPCI bus transmission protocol and WDM drive model is deeply researched, and the drive under Windows2000 operation is accomplished.In the end, the whole system's hardware is applied in the radar sub-system of the"battlefield information awareness system based on multiple sensors in a land vehicle"after debugging. The performance of the system is also investigated integrallty.
