China Today is the most representative periodical in China. The effective communicative techniques it used enhance its influence in the world. Israel Epstein(1915—2005) is the pioneer of China's International communication. Almost firstly, the thesis analyzes his thoughts. The thesis's conclusion is that: China's own foreign-language periodicals appeared in the time of Anti-Japanese War, they always keep pace with China's development. They are very helpful in establishing an advantageous image of China, introducing Chinese thoughts and culture to foreigners. However, there still exist some problems in the development of China's own foreign-language periodicals, such as their contents are too general, they are not used very effectively. Therefore, researchers must enhance their research in order to strengthen the influence of China's own foreign-language periodicals.
