The paper aims at hackling the development of content of newspapers' websites in passed ten years, researches the reasons of its development, and provides reference of the content construction of newspaper websites.The research methods of the paper include induction, content analysis method, case study method etc. The results of the research expressed the following facts: the content of newspaper websites obeyed the traditional news principle in the environment of network communication from 1995 to 1999. It is an inevitable outcome that information is becoming an important part of newspaper websites for the country is changing to information society.Finally, the paper brings forward three aspects of advantage of content construction of newspaper websites in network based on analysis all above.
