Human being is seriously threatened by exhausting mineral fuel, such as oil and coal. These mineral fuels are one-off and non-reproducible sources and have limited reserves. When they are burned, a great deal of carbon dioxide will release. The consequences of it are global temperature hoist and entironment deteriorating. As a kind of new type of energy sources, solar energy has the advantages of unlimited reserves, existing everywhere, use clean and economical. But it also has disadvantages, such as low density, intermission, change of space distributing and so on. These disadvantages induce that solar energy equipment, like solar energy water heater and solar battery, has the low using percent of solar energy. Solar moves every time. No matter what kind of solar energy equipment, if its energy exchanging part could always plumb up the solar beam, it can collect more solar energy on limited area. In order to keep the energy exchanging part to plumb up the solar beam, it must track the movement of solar. Solar beam automatic tracking equipment provides the probability to solve this problem. It has been showed that, the energy inception enhance by 37.7%, if solar equipment track the movement of the sun.Among all kinds of solar beam automatic tracking equipment in existence, photoelectricity type checking equipment could decrease accumulative error by feedback part. But it couldn't examine and track the movement of the sun consecutively, because use a number of photosensitive resistances. Based on photoelectricity type checking equipment and used the image sensor to replace photosensitive resistances, a kind of solar beam automatic tracking equipment based on image sensor is researched in this paper. Solar beam projects through the little hole on the top of the optical image part which is designed according to eyelet imaging theory, and becomes the solar facula on the screen. Image sensor which is put under the screen gathers the image information of the screen and outputs digital image signals. The digital image signals are given to digital signal processor to process. Then the solar facula coordination on the screen, the elevation and the azimuth angle of solar will be obtained. The results will be shown by number tubes. The digital signal processor adjusts the position of optical image part according to the two angles, when the optical image part doesn't plumb up the solar beam. Using this way, solar beam automatic tracking will be realized.The main works of the paper are optical image part design, hardware and software of the system, doing and debugging the circuit board, implement part design and so on. At the beginning of the paper, the system whole design notion and the final capacity target are put forward. Detail technical information of module design is narrated in each chapter. At the end of paper, some suggestions for system optimization are provided.
