In order to win the competition, an enterprise has to make a rapid response to demands of customer and market. As a type of leading software of enterprise information, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) has become a tool to enhance the level of enterprise management and to strengthen the force of competition. Workshop management system, one of the vital challenges for ERP development and application, plays an increasingly important role in enterprise management. So, it is significant to develop workshop management information system.Combining with the real workshop in a large-size enterprise which manufactures product of network, this thesis develops a workshop management information system based on Java EE (Java Enterprise Edition) and B/S (Browser/Server).At first, according to the real workshop business, the thesis analyzes the requirements of the workshop management system, including the overall requirement on the basis of the current state of the workshop, the business flow, user cases and systematic functional module of the system by using the the sequence diagram and the case diagram of UML (Unified Model Language) and Rational Rose 4.0.Secondly, the design of the workshop management system is finished, including the network topology of the system according to the goal and the task of the system and combining with the current state of the workshop production, and the functional design of the workshop management system. In the course of the design, it is focused on the priority principle used to operation sequencing. Moreover, the thesis designs the entity relationship model and relationship model.Thirdly, the detailed designs and implementation of the workshop management system are completed. The main contents are as follows: (1) the MVC design model and the tools used in the development of the workshop management information system are determined; (2) The security control of the system is realized depending on the database accesss and the Web security by using JDBC, database pool, security programming model used in the Java EE, the filter in JBuilder X and the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) in WebLogic Server; (3) The disposition of MVC (Model, view and controller) pattern with JBuilder X are set forth; (4) According to the object oriented modelling, the package diagram and the component diagram are used to describe the detailed design and implementation of the main program and functional modules.Finally, a summarization about this thesis and future research work are given.
