Design And Implementation Of Surveillance Center In Vehicle Monitoring System

As an important branch of ITS, the vehicle position and navigation system has been carried to resolve the serious traffic problem and acquired great achievement in developed countries. In our country, the problem is also very critical. But the research just begins in recent years ,so our technology falls behind. But, now it is becoming a capital matter because of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.This paper has studied the vehicle monitoring system and its relevant technologies on the basis of previous research results, and designed and accomplished the system's surveillance center. Its main content is summed up as follows:(1) This paper designs the system's general structure, and designed and accomplished the the main function of system's surveillance center, for example:GIS module, monitoring module, database administering and data communication module.(2) This paper investigats the system's main algorithm, and investigats the algorithm of map-matching particularly. The grid of road network can be disposed by combining with the thought of block processing in GIS. And we combines the position data from GPS, vehicle position and the topology of road netwoek, then decides the road on which the vehicle is moving. The algorithm has been proved can effectively ascent the precision of localization, and has active effect on improving the vehicle navigation system.(3) This paper designs and accomplished the database of the system's surveillance center and the navigation map, made the system's data organizition has a perfect backgrond.(4) This paper purposes to select CDMA technology as the wireless data transmission means. It can make the mobile terminals fully access Internet and overcome the shortcomings that the SMS can transmit text data but can not transmit multi-media data.
